Elle King had plenty of reasons to celebrate this week.
On Wednesday (July 3), the raspy-voiced soul-pop singer got engaged to her boyfriend after a little over a year of dating. To make the occasion even more special, the groom-to-be popped the question on her 30th birthday.
“Happy birthday to me! I said YES!” the “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer captioned an Instagram boomerang of her beautiful engagement ring.

King has kept her new relationship private, but has shared numerous photos of her beau — known only as Jim — on social media. Last October, she acknowledged her newfound love on Instagram following the release of her sophomore album, Shake the Spirit.
“Literally the happiest girl in the world. My life is full of beautiful love, incredible family and friends, and the record is finally out! I am just beaming with happiness and joy,” King captioned a photo of herself alongside Jim. “Love you babe! Thanks for supporting me on this wild ride!”
The singer’s engagement arrives more than two years after the end of her marriage to Andrew Ferguson. The two secretly wed just three weeks after meeting in 2016.
