The deal, announced today (Nov. 26), covers the marketing of Eagle Rock’s masters across the Universal’s worldwide mobile distribution channels.
The deal covers material from acts such as Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Eagle Rock and UMI did not disclose which titles will be featured.
Paris-based Universal Mobile produces and distributes mobile content services — including ringtones, wallpapers, videos and games — to more than 60 mobile operators in Europe, Asia and Latin America. The company claims its services reach 600 million consumers in 40 countries.
