Before Dynamic Duo wrapped promotions for “Jam,” the lead track from their 8th LP Grand Carnival, the hip-hop heavyweights released a surprise gift for its loyal fans on Monday (Dec. 7): a performance clip of the album’s most lyrically dense track “From the Rooftop.”
Stripped down from all the visual excess of “Jam” — which included bumblebee costumes and a parody of BIGBANG‘s “Fantastic Baby” outfits — Gaeko and Choiza stuck to what they do best by delivering a compelling performance from Gaeko’s studio rooftop.
Specifically, “Rooftop” illustrates the duo’s ups and downs throughout their 15-year musical career and further solidifies them as one of the greatest storytellers of its generation.
