Dua Lipa has canceled a string of shows on her current tour of Australia due to wisdom teeth troubles that require immediate surgery.
The “New Rules” singer is supporting Bruno Mars on the Australia and New Zealand leg of his 24K Magic World Tour, but she won’t be playing Wednesday (March 14) and Thursday (March 15) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
According to a statement issued Wednesday by promoter Live Nation, the English pop star has “been advised by doctors to undergo immediate dental surgery” and, at this stage, she will miss just those two shows.
“I’m so sorry to have to cancel some of my support shows with Bruno,” she tweeted. “I’ve been performing with an awful pain due to my wisdom teeth and as advised by my dentist and oral surgeon I have to have them imminently removed. I have been enjoying this tour so much and am upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully I’ll have a speedy recovery and make it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

The tour will move to Sydney’s Quodos Bank Arena for five dates starting March 17 before hitting Adelaide Entertainment Centre (March 26) and wrapping with two shows at Perth Arena, March 28-29.
The singer has three top 10 on the ARIA Singles Chart with “Be The One” (No. 6 in May 2016), “New Rules” (No. 2 in September 2017) and “IDGAF” (February 2018). Her hit “New Rules” bagged top spot on the Official U.K. Singles Chart last July.
