With surprise hit single “Hotline Bling” challenging for his first-ever solo Hot 100 No. 1, the Toronto rapper dropped a neon-hued video that was perfectly calculated to make the greatest internet meme impact. I mean, dancing the cha-cha in a turtleneck? That shit was premeditated.
Drake’s bid for ubiquity appears to have been a success, and his video has spurred a new wave of ‘Hotline Bling” remixes. We’ve already covered the Erykah Badhu, Sam Smith & Disclosure and Kehlani & Charlie Puth versions, so here are the best of the rest:
