There are several ways to meet what could be a devastating instance or circumstance. This week the Internet is celebrating how one ultra cool lady pre-gamed before undergoing a big surgery on Tuesday (November 5) at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco.
Ob/Gyn and mother of two, Deborah Cohan, was the patient, going under the knife for a double mastectomy. But prior to go time, Cohan and her medical team had a brief dance party in the operating room with Beyonce’s 2006 jam “Get Me Bodied” on high.
Watch Cohan shimmy, strip teasing a bit, and dipping low–surrounded by equally cheery surgeons. And the positive energy doesn’t end there. She requests that others record themselves bopping to Bey’s classic, to “dance wherever you happen to be (in the kitchen, the carwash, subway platform.”
“I have visions of a healing video montage,” Cohan continues. “Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies. Are you with me people?” We sure are. Speedy recovery, Deborah.
