Jim Donio has been installed as acting president of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM), after a unanimous vote of approval by the organization’s board. Donio replaces Pam Horovitz, who stepped down last July.
Donio, a NARM board member since 1988, has held the post of executive vice president since 2000.
“Jim’s long tenure and extensive experience with all facets of NARM, as well as his familiarity with the many challenges we have faced and will continue to face in the coming year, will contribute significantly to the success of the association,” says chairman of the board David Schlang in a statement.
Donio has overseen NARM’s day-to-day operations since Horovitz’ departure.
The body’s annual convention will be held this August in San Diego.
