Like his campaign goals, Donald Trump’s musical tastes are diverse. During CNN’s GOP Town Hall with Anderson Cooper on Thursday night, the presidential candidate shared his playlist favorites, name-dropping veterans like Elton John and The Beatles.
Then he remembers his “good friend” Michael Jackson, offering what he calls “the real story” of the King of Pop.
He recalled how Jackson lived at the Trump Tower, even getting hitched at one of his VIP clubs, the Mar-a-Lago, to ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley. “He was up there for one week with her and he never came down,” the entrepreneurial magnate said. “I don’t know what was going on but they got along.”
“He was an unbelievably talented guy. He lost his confidence. He lost tremendous confidence because of, honestly, bad-bad-bad surgery. He had the worst. He had people that did numbers on him that were just unbelievable,” Trump continued, referencing the facial surgery Jackson underwent. “Facially, you know, the plastic surgeons. He was an unbelievable talent who actually lost his confidence. Believe it or not, when you lose your confidence in something, you can even lose your talent.”
Trump also discussed Iraq war, fatherhood, and how he’s never had a drink or a cigarette.
