Radio host Don Cheto has closed the gap with uber-popular Piolín among Hispanic listeners in the flagship Los Angeles market, according to Arbitron’s Winter 2008 book.
“El Show de Don Cheto” on Liberman Broadcasting’s KBUE and “Piolín de la Mañana” on Univision Radio’s KSCA came in tied for first place among Hispanics aged 12 and up during morning drive time. Each station had a 10.3 share.
Among Hispanics 18 to 34 years old, Piolín just barely held on to his lead. In overall 12+ ratings, KBUE is now the top regional Mexican station in both L.A. and Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif.
Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo is syndicated in markets nationwide. Don Cheto is heard in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and Riverside-San Bernardino.
