The Miami-based DJ Khaled has signed a deal with Def Jam Records to distribute, market and promote his We The Best Music independent record label.
As first broken on Billboard.com, MC Ace will be the first release from We The Best’s roster. Khaled is still signed to Koch Records as an artist.
“I’m proud to be a member of the Def Jam family,” says DJ Khaled. “Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip-hop and music as a whole. I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music.”
The Miami-based DJ Khaled has released two albums via Koch, “Listennn: The Album,” which has sold 194,000 and “We The Best,” which has moved 327,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. His current single, “I’m So Hood,” sits at no. 21 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
