Disclosure announced plans for a New York edition of their Wild Life event set to feature Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals and Mobb Deep on Wednesday (June 15), when they also dropped their three-song Moog for Love EP.
Grammy-nominated sibling duo Guy and Howard Lawrence debuted the title track from the EP — a collaboration with Eats Everything — on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Tuesday. The hypnotic house lead track featuring Howard’s pitched-down vocals and a wiggly bass line, “Boss,” got its live debut last Saturday at their Wild Life Festival in the U.K.
The other track on the mini-album, “Feel Like I Do,” is a slinky soul stroll featuring a sample of Al Green‘s “I’m Still in Love With You.” According to their label, Guy discovered the 1972 Green song in a stack of vinyl he’d bought and after asking for approval for the sample, “the request reached the ears of The Reverend himself. Green loved it so much that he made an exception to his usual practice and gave Guy the original recording stems to work with.”
