Billboard cover star Diplo recently announced that his 2004 album Florida is getting the deluxe reissue treatment in honor of its 10th anniversary.
The new version of the album will be accompanied by an early EP — The Epistemology Suite — and five unreleased tracks. Hear one of those tracks, “As I Lay Dying,” below.
The album will come out Black Friday, released through Black Dada, the same label that put it out 10 years ago. Diplo described the process behind Florida to Rolling Stone. “I was working late nights and taking a bus through the city every night, smoking weed, putting on headphones and just making things I never heard before and could just imagine. Making this record created an entirely new world for me.”
Billboard Cover: Diplo on His Katy Perry Connection, Madonna Collaboration and 8-Figure Lifestyle
These days, Diplo’s preferred mode of transportation is probably private jet. Lately he’s been downing rosé with Madonna, hanging out in Jamaica with Katy Perry, and collaborating with Skrillex as Jack U. Check out Jack U’s single “Take U There.”
