Diplo’s newest project Europa is here and features a flurry of European MCs across its six tracks. The EP deftly demonstrates the range and depth of the European underground, as well as Diplo as a producer.
The record offers sounds from the low-key, lovesick “New Shapes,” featuring French-born, London-raised rapper Octavian, to the slicker, raunchier club track “Dip Raar” with Dutch artists Bizzey and Ramiks on vocals, to the pop-trap of “Boom Bye Bye” featuring Parisian hip-hop artist Niska.
Europa, out on Diplo’s Mad Decent label, caps a big month for the multi-faceted artist, whose project with Mark Ronson, Silk City, took home best dance recording at the 2019 Grammys for “Electricity” with Dua Lipa.
