Dillon Francis has been one busy guy. He has a new album coming soon, he just dropped a hilarious video for stand-alone single “Hello There,” and he just gave tech journalism a whirl as the guest in this weeks’ TechCrunch Crunch Report news roundup. It’s a guest appearance that makes sense. Francis has always been very interested in whatever Apple is doing, and the “Hello There” video features a fake movie trailer for a vague cyber-thriller, Tech Ladies II.
The producer/DJ held his own on the show, given that his own is about being a goofball. He gives the Crunch Report serious props as his favorite show ever (Stranger Things is a close second). He also announced that he’s pre-ordered the iPhone X, which we all remember was a big sticking point for the producer during his hilarious Keynote reaction clip. He’s most stoked on the full screen, though he’s slightly sure the face ID technology will put his mug in porn.
They also talk Twitter and Russia, the possibility that robots may take his job, and the more exciting possibility of a real Tech Ladies II. Watch the near 15-minute video below.
