– Samsung Electronics will embed a music ID application from Shazam Entertainment in its line of music phones, including the Beatb and Beats models. UK operator T-Mobile will be the first to offer the devices, with the ID service integrated into its mobile music service.
– Tickets.com will add links to buy ringtones and other mobile content from off-deck provider Thumbplay. Fans searching the Tickets.com site for tickets to concerts and other events will see offers for associated content from Thumbplay, according to the deal.
– EMI Music Group has licensed its catalog to Mobile Messenger, a mobile content management and distribution firm. The deal allows Mobile Messenger to sell EMI content either a la carte or on a subscription basis.
– Digital music service We7 has added content from independent music aggregator The Orchard. The deal adds some 1.3 million tracks to the DRM-free service, partially backed by Peter Gabriel.
