Dido’s second major North American tour will begin May 17 in Vancouver and will wrap June 18 in Boston. The outing is in support of “Life for Rent” (Arista), which has sold nearly 1.5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
A number of promoters, including Clear Channel Entertainment, will be involved in the tour, according to an Arista spokesperson. At this point, there is no title sponsor attached.
Dido’s 2001 U.S. tour had an average gross of $168,522 and average attendance of 6,062, from 16 dates reported to Billboard.
The singer will head to Europe for additional dates in July.
