Sean “Diddy” Combs has signed a new long-term agreement with EMI Music Publishing covering his songwriting and that of writers signed to his Bad Boy Music Publishing.
Since Diddy first signed with EMI Music Publishing 12 years ago, he has released 10 albums. The new publishing deal extends the relationship for all future projects and albums during the term, which was undisclosed.
“EMI Music Publishing and Sean Combs have been in business successfully together since 1994, and it’s a privilege to continue our special relationship — especially with his second solo album [“Press Play”] on the verge of being released,” says Evan Lamberg, EMI executive VP creative for North America.
Diddy recently celebrated the No. 1success of “Danity Kane,” his all-girl group from “The Making of the Band 3.”
