Disney’s latest hopeful phenomenon involves the kids of some of Disney’s most infamous villains.
Descendants, a new television movie that will premiere this summer on Disney, features the teen villains — after years of being banished with their baddie parents (Cruella de Vil, Jafar) — being allowed to attend regular high school in the kingdom. Naturally, hijinks, as well as just a tiny bit of evil magic, ensue.
The trailer also gives fans first glimpse at said evil parents — including a looks-like-she’s-having-a-blast Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent — who seem to have just dropped in from Once Upon A Time. (Not discussed in this first look: Where the heck all these kids came from.)
