Demi Lovato says there is no beef between her and Ariana Grande.
Some fans questioned over the weekend if Lovato was trying to make a point in the wake of DonutGate. Lovato performed her 2013 single “Made in the USA” Saturday night at the 2015 MLB All-Star Game concert, a concert slot she took over from Grande, who was recovering from wisdom teeth surgery.
Some thought the patriotic song choice — as well as the fact that Lovato reportedly asked everyone in attendance the question, “How many of you guys are proud to be an American?” — were meant to shade Grande.
Not so, according to Lovato, who addressed the rumors on her Twitter account on Sunday.
Didn’t get to sing Made in the USA on the 4th because I was singing #COOLFORTHESUMMER. No shade – stop the bullshit ?
