Sad news: Degrassi: The Next Generation is ending its 14-season run on TeenNick this summer.
“For an incredible 14 seasons, Degrassi has been a groundbreaking show tackling so many important topics that real teens face in their everyday lives,” Keith Dawkins, SVP and general manager for Nicktoons, TeenNick and Nick Jr., told Variety on Thursday (June 4).

We’ll miss plenty about the Canadian import, but here at Billboard, we’ll remember the angsty show best for introducing us to Drake — a.k.a. Aubrey Graham, a.k.a Jimmy — who was on the show from 2001-09.
As everyone is aware, the rapper (as well as Vampire Diaries star Nina Debrov, among others) got their start on the teen soap. Check out Jimmy rapping below and remember how far someone can come in a decade.
