Def Leppard will help kickoff the upcoming National Hockey League (NHL) 2008-09 season on Thursday, Oct. 9.
The band is the headlining act for the league’s opening night bash, dubbed “NHL Face-Off Rocks 2008,” and will perform their single, “C’mon, C’mon,” from Fox Theatre in Detroit. The performance will be followed by the raising of the Detroit Red Wings’ 2008 Stanley Cup Championship banner, which is prior to the home opener between the Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs at Joe Louis Arena.
