If he’s not already, deadmua5 should think about doing a hip-hop album.
The big-mouthed Canadian usually has mad love for the droning and the ambient, but his recent beats for grime rapper Shotty Horroh are two of the freshest beats we’ve heard in a minute.
While the pair’s first joint, “Okay,” sampled vintage tunes and kept a laidback vibe, “Legendary” is a real evil beast. The wonky electronics show more of the mau5 and if this is what the producer’s hip-hop sounds like, give us more. Thankfully, it looks like that might be on the way.
