Deadmau5 will return to the main stage at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, the DJ announced on Twitter on Friday.
“Well, I caved in…. There was just too many of you guys asking me to play at ultra this year, so im doin it for you guys! 🙂 viva la horde,” he wrote.
Deadmau5 will perform night-closing sets on March 16 and March 23. The two-weekend fest will hit Miami from March 15-17 and March 22-24.
The musician’s return looked unlikely earlier this year, after he released a 12-minute video rant criticizing the annual event’s ticket prices and contractual limitations.
“I guess if you want something to change… you gotta change it yourself,” he added on Twitter.
The EDM-centric festival will also play host to the end of Swedish House Mafia‘s One Last Tour, the group’s last pair of dates before their planned disbanding. Armin van Buuren is also on the bill, with additional acts yet to be revealed.
2013 will be Ultra’s first as a two-weekend event, following in the lead of expanding festivals such as Indio, Calif.’s Coachella, which successfully added a second weekend in 2012.
