David Gilmour has said Pink Floyd is “done,” but when the mood is right he’ll still mine some gold from the legendary prog-rock outfit’s catalogue. He was in the mood when he performed overnight on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Gilmour dropped an absolute classic for his late-night stint: a rendition of “Wish You Were Here,” the title track from Pink Floyd’s great 1975 album.
The Hall of Fame-inducted singer and guitarist also performed “Rattle That Lock,” the title track from his 2015 solo set. Both tours have featured in the setlist for Gilmour’s North America tour, which heads on to Toronto this Thursday night (March 31) for the first of two dates at the Air Canada Centre. The trek then visits Chicago and New York City before moving on to Europe.
