The casino and resorts operator Las Vegas Sands hosted a panel discussion at Palace Hotel Tokyo about the potential “integrated resorts” could have on the Japanese entertainment industry.
The brand’s global ambassador, former soccer superstar David Beckham, and other top sports, music and entertainment figures attended the event, including Joe Walsh of the Eagles; Seijiro Udo, founder of the long-standing Japanese concert promoter Udo Artists Inc.; Alan Ridgeway, Live Nation’s President of International and Emerging Markets; and the Beckhams’ longtime business partner Simon Fuller.
“Las Vegas Sands is creating fabulous resorts all around the world, and their scale and vision are impressive,” Beckham said. “I look forward to helping promote what Japan has to offer on a global scale in the future.”
Las Vegas Sands Corp. President and COO Robert G. Goldstein also lauded the project. “We hope to build state-of-the-art live entertainment facilities and also provide contents that meet the expectations of major artists and music fans alike,” he said.
