Fans are about to experience a side of Dave Navarro that he’s rarely shared before.
In a new documentary titled Mourning Son, the Jane’s Addiction co-founder opens up about his mother’s tragic murder in 1983. In the clip premiering below, Navarro expresses the apprehension he has toward recounting the story: “It feels ugly to tell the story. I get choked up and when I tell the A to B to C story… I get intense.
“Everything I’ve done in my life has been about walking through fear and getting on the other side of it and going, ‘that wasn’t so bad.’ Everything: performing, dating, TV, radio, marriage, divorce, drug addiction. Here’s the best way to put it: I’ve been given the opportunity to look at the darkest element in my life and walk away.”
