
Broadway is taking over Coney Island on Labor Day.
Elsie Fest — the theatre-centric music festival created by Darren Criss, talent manager Ricky Rollins and Broadway producer and Jujamcyn Theaters president Jordan Roth — will take place Sept. 5 at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

The second annual event’s star-studded lineup includes full sets by Megan Hilty, Tituss Burgess, Lena Hall and Criss, plus a guest performance by Color Purple star Cynthia Erivo.
Evan Rachael Wood and Zach Villa (Rebel and a Basket Case), composer Jason Robert Brown, Newsies’ Corey Cott, Dear Evan Hansen songwriters Pasek and Paul, and SiriusXM Radio host Julie James will also perform sets at the show, also featuring a pop-up of the West Village piano bar Marie’s Crisis.

“Last year’s Elsie Fest was a passion project,” said Criss and Rollins in a statement. “The support from the public and the success of the festival reinforced what we knew, that people love coming together to watch, hear and sing with their favorite musical stars. Now, we hope to make Elsie Fest bigger and better every year.”
Elsie Fest is a LiveNation production. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids. Tickets for Elsie Fest go on sale to the public Friday, July 29th at 10 a.m. EST.
