
While the weather might be freezing in Dallas, the police department’s raps are hot fire. Sort of.
Vanilla Ice Premieres ‘Ice Ice Baby’ Zumba Remix: Video
In a new safety video the Dallas Police Department’s media relations unit warns citizens about the dangers of icy driving conditions by lip-syncing and dancing along to Vanilla Ice‘s 1989 hit “Ice Ice Baby.” As the Dallas Morning News points out, this is particularly fitting since the rapper was born in South Dallas.

The whole thing goes on for about a minute and a half and is pretty dorky. It’s also slightly disappointing they didn’t go the extra mile to reimagine the song to their own safety needs. But we must remember, even if Senior Cpl. Demarquis Black handles the mic pretty well, this really isn’t their trained vocation.
