Those anxiously awaiting the latest album from robo duo Daft Punk are in for a treat: Their new album “Random Access Memories,” out for sale May 21, is now streaming on iTunes.
After teasing fans with a brief, sparkling Pharrell Williams-assisted TV ad featuring its lead single “Get Lucky” and a press run that included a Billboard interview, the guys are ready to reveal their new throwback album—proudly made with real musicians and not simply computer programs.
“It’s not a statement against music made with computers today, but there are wonderful things you can do in a recording studio you can’t do at home on a laptop. That’s what we wanted to try to express,” Punk man Thomas Bangalter says in the Billboard story. “Is it still a show when a magician makes a trick in front of an audience, if everyone is a magician and everyone knows the trick?”
And voila, time to be wowed. Let us know what you think of the album in the comments section.
