The Cypress Hill-organized Smoke Out festival has undergone a series of logistical changes, with a Sept. 29 date in Holmdel, N.J., postponed while producers look for another New York-area location. An Oct. 14 show in Honolulu, Hawaii, has been bumped to Oct. 21. Shows in Los Angeles (Oct. 6) and San Francisco (Oct. 13) will be staged as planned.
The postponement of the Holmdel show was necessitated when the event was “suddenly deemed unsuitable by the [venue] due to various musical events this past summer at the venue that resulted in less that desirable conduct from attendees,” according to a statement from Smoke Out producers Guerilla Union. “Cypress Hill and Guerilla Union … promise to bring the Smoke Out to the East Coast as soon as possible.”
The L.A. and San Francisco dates will feature Cypress Hill, Deftones, Redman, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Erick Sermon and Keith Murray, Afroman, Suicidal Tendencies, Fear Factory, Long Beach Dub Allstars, NOFX, Armand Van Helden, DJ Sneak, Kottonmouth Kings, DJ Swamp, Richard Humpty Vission, and Liquid Todd.
The Hawaii show features Cypress Hill, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, and Kottonmouth Kings, with additional acts to be added in the coming weeks.
