The husband/wife duo Watermark are calling it quits. The Rocketown Records act, which have released four albums on the Franklin, Tenn.-based label, will cease recording and touring by next year.
Nathan Nockels plans to concentrate on his work as a producer/writer and Christy will continue writing and serving as a worship leader. According to a label source, the couple also wanted to spend less time on the road as their children are approaching school age.
A concert is slated for Aug. 25 in Nashville featuring special guests Louie Giglio, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Shane and Shane, Point of Grace and Ed Cash. It will be recorded for a February 2006 album release with concert proceeds benefiting the Nashville Rescue Mission. The couple will close out their season as Watermark with a spring tour in 2006.
