Country singer Billy Currington has signed with Parallel Entertainment, the Nashville-based management company recently formed by J.P. Williams and John Dennis, for representation. Currington was previously represented by Dennis at Vector Management.
Since breaking onto the scene in 2003, Currington has scored five top 10 singles, including two No. 1’s for “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” and “Good Directions.” His first album, which was self-titled, has sold 252,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The follow-up, “Doin’ Something’ Right,” shifted 963,000 units.
Currington, who is currently working on his third Mercury Nashville album, joins country duo Montgomery Gentry on the Parallel roster.
