Bruno Crémel is stepping down as managing director of France’s operations for leading entertainment retailer FNAC, effective immediately.
The Paris-based retailer FNAC said Crémel was leaving the company “for personal reasons.”
A former head of FNAC’s international operations, Crémel got appointed France MD in 2003. He was managing the retailer’s 68 outlets in the country and its online operations, accounting for yearly sales of €3 billion ($3.6 billion).
In a statement, FNAC said the position of France MD will not be filled. FNAC chief executive Denis Olivennes will directly take over from Crémel’s duties, while former director of organization and information systems Fabien Sfez has been appointed director delegate in charge of coordinating French operations.
Olivennes credits Crémel for contributing to FNAC’s revitalization and success in France.
