While hearing new K-pop on U.S. radio might be sending fans into a tizzy, there’s another area the infectious music genre has invaded: sitcoms.
On the Oct. 21 episode of ABC show Selfie, Crayon Pop‘s “Bar Bar Bar” made an appearance in a scene with stars Karen Gillan and John Cho. In the clip, the actors can’t deny the catchy, cutesy single that went to No. 1 on the K-Pop Hot 100 thanks to its viral video last August.
It’s not the first time Crayon Pop made their way onto TV stateside with the girl group performing “Bar Bar Bar” live on Chicago news broadcast last July, in the midst of their run as opening act for Lady Gaga‘s Artpop tour. Plus, the song was also heard on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Taiwanese twins Zony and Yony showed a routine to the song in one of the talk show’s most adorable performances ever.
In other Crayon Pop news, in lieu of a full-group return to the K-pop scene, Crayon Pop created a splinter duo featuring the outfit’s twin members Choa and Way called Strawberry Milk. The sub-unit released their debut single “OK” last week with its music video earning more than one million views to date. Watch the super-sweet, super-colorful visual below and see if you can tell the girls apart:
