Whew!!
Diggity-dig this!!! On Oct. 8, Big & Rich and I had a truly energetic show in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was pretty cold and raining but the fans stayed and supported us and we greatly appreciate that.
At 5:45 the next morning, I got up to travel to Dallas to headline the State Fair of Texas. Headlining a show in my hometown was fun and pressure-packed at the same time. Between the excitement of being home and 100+ people that came to meet and greet, I felt as if I was running from the time we landed to the time we left the fair. I saw friends and family I hadn’t seen in years. The fans that showed up were great.
After the show, 20 of my closest family and friends went to a local Tex-Mex restaurant and proceeded to graze for an hour or more (I didn’t know I could eat that many fajitas). After a day off (Oct. 10) in Dallas, Sweety and I are preparing for a two-day mini-vacation in Seattle.
The day we arrived in SeaTown we walked all over the downtown area including the famous Pike Place Market. (Continuing the story the day after returning from Victoria, B.C.) Taking the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria, B.C. for a day of shopping and walking around a really cool looking city was way cool.
Today I am preparing to go back on the grind as we are preparing to do some in-studio taping of several songs for myself and Big & Rich. After today we will hit the road and play cities up and down the left coast. Believe this… I am rested and ready! Buckle your chinstrap and be prepared. Remember… you deserve to be entertained and will be.
I AM Cowboy Troy!!! And I AM Hick-Hop!!!
