Last month the Seattle Police Department released a note thought to be written by Kurt Cobain, mocking his wedding vows to Courtney Love. In an interview with The Guardian, Love confirmed what experts had believed — that the snarky note was actually written by her.

“Obviously I wrote it – don’t you guys understand sarcasm?” Love says. She blames the media for emboldening the “truthers” who believe she actually killed her husband in 1994. “It endangers me, and it endangers (daughter) Frances.”

The note, written on Phoenix Hotel Stationary, reads: “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…”
The note came from a collection of death scene photos recently released by the Seattle Police Department.
Five days ago, Seattle author and Kurt Cobain biographer Charles R. Cross refuted claims saying the note was written by Cobain, saying he recognized Love’s handwriting and that the two often exchanged sarcastic notes.
