Season four heartthrob Constantine Maroulis will return to American Idol tonight (Feb. 18) with a reprise of his most popular performance — Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Maroulis will perform the song as a duet with Season 15 singer Shelbie Zora on tonight’s episode, airing at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
In a clip released by the show, Maroulis guides Zora through the nuances of delivering a song as powerful as “Rhapsody” on the Idol stage.
“For you, I feel this can be an awesome moment,” he tells the Alabama native. “In these duets I feel what is important is the relationship.”
The New Jersey-based entertainer will also team up with contestant Jenn Blosil on the program.
Maroulis has done quite well since finishing in sixth place on the Fox singing show. He went on to star on Broadway in Rock of Ages, Jekyll and Hyde and The Wedding Singer, and recently released the new single, “Here I Come,” on iTunes from his forthcoming album. The Idol star will also appear at a Friday (Feb. 19) night show at Taste in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Other duets tonight feature David Cook, Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, Haley Reinhart, and Kellie Pickler.
