“There’s nothing to do with how you dance, or how you dress, it’s like, it’s like who you are, you know?”
That’s when Conan O’Brien knew he was totally screwed. There he stood outside Berlin’s Berghain, arguably the hippest and most exclusive club in Europe if not the world, and TBS’ late-night hero knew almost instinctively he was totally not going to get passed the infamous guards.
It was all part of his trip to Berlin earlier this year. He was spotted outside the club by fans in September, and social media started going off with heated opinions about whether or not a comedian should make fun of an abandoned power plant turned debauchery-filled house hall. Hey, if dance music fans can’t laugh at themselves, what hope is there for the rest of the world?
Watch the hysterical clip to find out just how fast O’Brien gets turned down. It’s probably historical.
