Houston-based Compadre Records has signed Lari White, Kate Campbell and Julie Lee to its artist roster.
White previously recorded for RCA and Lyric Street Records and, most recently, ran her own Skinny White Girl Records label in Nashville. Her new album, “Green Eyed Soul” is due June 1. As previously reported, the artist has inked with Howard Berman’s new indie Mezmerizing for the U.K. market.
Campbell previously recorded for Eminent and Compass Records. In August, Compadre will release two newly-recorded Campbell albums and will also reissue her 1995 Compass debut, “Songs From the Levee.”
Newcomer Lee is a Nashville-based roots artist. Her Compadre full-length bow, “Stillhouse Road,” is due in July and features guest artists Alison Krauss and Vince Gill.
In other news at Compadre, Logan Rogers is promoted to VP/director of A&R, and Jenni Finlay joins as manager of label promotion. Finlay previously worked for Virgin Records and Major Bob Music, both in Nashville.
Finally, Shanna Sturgeon joins as label coordinator. She previously worked at Universal South and Tanya Tucker’s Tuckertime Records.
All report to Compadre president Brad Turcotte.
