On the heels of his July debut album, freeJAH, Clyde Guevara is back with a video for his tune, “Quick,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Oct. 31).
The clip shows the Brooklyn rapper in a number of different scenarios, including sitting on top of a pyramid, pouring champagne, and underwater — while, of course, documenting his adventures on social media.
“Perception is the new reality, sadly. We’re so concerned with being ‘somebody’, we forget to be ourselves,” Guevara tells Billboard of the song. “You can fake it until you make it, but the question is, where are you trying to make it to?”
“When you log out of the world of perception, you still have to live with yourself,” he adds. “Be comfortable being you, there’s no one else like you, and that’s what makes you somebody.”
