Here we are at that unfortunate moment when stars let us know their questionable beliefs and we wish we could go back in time and forget.
The latest contender? American Idol runner-up and current Democratic nominee in North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district, Clay Aiken.
Asked by the Washington Post about the recent mass hacking into celebrities’ computers/phones that resulted in a ton of naked photos being released, Aiken said, “Anybody who takes inappropriate pictures of themselves deserves exactly what they get.” He also noted, “Of course whoever [stole and released the photos] should be hogtied…And it’s unfortunate that we don’t have Internet security right now or the laws in place to protect people from pirating that stuff.”

Ugh, guys, this is so easy. If you’re going to comment on this, you must remember the only person who did anything wrong is the person who committed the crime. Additionally, this is a very disappointing attitude from someone who once sang, “If I was invisible, then I could just watch you in your room.”
Good luck with that mindset in your continued quest to represent people in Congress, Clay!
