School is almost back in session, but that doesn’t mean the fun needs to end. Ghettotech boutique label Dirtybird puts the ass in class by bringing booty-bouncing beats to your streets all autumn long.
Label headmaster Claude VonStroke will don his professor robes and give crowds across the US a lesson in getting loose. Phase 1 of his fall 2019 schedule includes stops in Miami, Portland, Brooklyn and Las Vegas. It kicks off with a special presentation at Chicago’s Birdhouse festival on Sept. 7, with cram sessions running beyond the big mid-term at California’s fan-favorite festival, Dirtybird Campout West.
Of course, Dirtybird is a family, and VonStroke has the whole team on call for the season’s Dirtybird Players tour. Four unique shows spread across Brooklyn, Arizona, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C. will feature sets from some of the label’s favorite selectors. Justin Martin and Christian Martin, Justin Jay, J. Phlip, Walker & Royce, Shiba San, VNSSA and J.Worra will all don team jerseys in select cities, with a special back-to-back set from Frank Terry and Ghost Effect in Arizona.
Tickets are on sale Thursday, Aug. 22. Visit Dirtybird online for more info.
Not every Dirtybird Player will play each stop, so check the full lineup for the tour below. You can also peep Claude VonStroke’s fall tour dates, with more to be announced.
