Ciara’s “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo is on top of Billboard’s Hot 100 for a second week in a row. The track is also starting a second week atop the Hot R&B Singles & Tracks and Hot 100 Airplay charts. The Lil Jon-produced cut is the title track from the Atlanta-based artist’s forthcoming debut album, due Sept. 28 via Sho’nuff-Music Line/LaFace.
Terror Squad’s “Lean Back” and Lil’ Flip’s “Sunshine” featuring Lea stay in place at No. 2 and No. 3 on the Hot 100 for the second week in a row, while Nelly’s “My Place” featuring Jaheim is steady at No. 4 for a third.
After two weeks mired at No. 8, Ashlee Simpson’s “Pieces of Me” jumps to No. 5. Kevin Lyttle’s “Turn Me On” featuring Spragga Benz remains at No. 6 for a second week, while Juvenile’s “Slow Motion” featuring Soulja Slim holds at No. 7.
Maroon5’s latest single, “She Will Be Loved,” continues its upward pace, moving one slot to No. 8 in its ninth week on the chart. The video for the song is MTV’s fourth most-played clip this week and is No. 2 on VH1’s most-played list. Christina Milian’s “Dip It Low” drops four slots to No. 9 and Akon’s “Locked Up” featuring Styles P. enjoys a five-slot gain to close out the top 10.
Last week’s top Hot 100 debut is this week’s fastest growing airplay track on the chart. The Alicia Keys and Usher duet “My Boo” is up 29-18 on the tally.
Lil Scrappy’s “No Problem” makes an eight-slot jump to No. 31 and is the chart’s fastest-growing track at retail. Also making notable gains this week are Bowling For Soup’s “1985” (72-61), Christina Aguilera’s “Car Wash” featuring Missy Elliott (73-63), N.O.R.E., GemStar, Big Mato, Nina Sky & Daddy Yankee’s “Oye Mi Canto” (84-67) and Beenie Man’s “King of the Dancehall” (95-81).
Country act Lonestar has the chart’s top debut with “Mr. Mom” at No. 71. The title track from Beyoncé’s “Dangerously in Love” also enters this week at No. 76; it’s the fifth single from her Columbia solo debut to chart on the Hot 100.
Also entering the Hot 100 this week is Trick Daddy’s “Let’s Go (2004)” (No. 72), J-Kwon’s “You & Me” featuring Sadiyyah (No. 73), Gary Allan’s “Nothing on But the Radio” (No. 75), Fabolous’ “Breathe” (No. 94) and Nitty’s “Nasty Girl” (No. 95).
Keith Urban’s “Days Go By” jumps 3-1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart as last week’s chart-topper, Terri Clark’s “Girls Lie Too,” falls to No. 3. This is the fifth No. 1 on the country singles chart for the Australian artist.
Linkin Park’s “Breaking the Habit” is on top of Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks tally for the fourth consecutive week and spends its second week in the No. 1 position on the Mainstream Rock Tracks list.
