We already knew that Ciara and Ludacris had serious chemistry. The old pals who crushed it on her 2010 single “Ride” stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night (May 19) to talk about hosting Sunday night’s 2016 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and, of course, talk turned to gambling, strip clubs, special guests… and the possibility of Luda officiating the singer’s wedding to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson?
Luda, who is a two-time veteran hosting the show, said the pair might rehearse “a little bit” for the broadcast, but it’s mostly about them “coming together and just making it our own and having a lot of fun.” Ciara said she’s looking forward to her first big hosting gig, admitting she’s a bit nervous and that she has Luda on speed dial to ask endless questions about what she should do.
Kimmel also asked if they had any other plans while in Vegas, and while Ciara’s typical Sin City getaway involves hitting a lot of the big shows on the Strip, Ludacris told a charming story about winning $30,000 at the blackjack table on his 30th birthday and then blowing some of it on strippers and the rest on a $28,000 playground for his kids.
