It’s time to head to Chvrches and give praise to Lorde: Lauren Mayberry & Co’s new song from the Lorde-curated Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack is here!
“Dead Air” finds Chvrches in familiar territory, full of chirpy synths and a heartfelt, understated chorus. Hard to imagine it appearing in the world of the Hunger Games — although the line “there is a strength in enduring” certainly applies — but that’s fine, since most of the soundtrack was created as a companion to the film, not as a proper soundtrack.
The full Mockingjay tracklist is finally out with the revelation that the mysterious unnamed “Track 5” will be a collaboration between Ariana Grande and Major Lazer.
