Acting legend Sir Christopher Lee — never forget the Sir — is 92 years old and more metal than you. Back in 2012, he became the oldest living performer to enter the Billboard charts with a metal Christmas carol called “Jingle Hell” and he’s back in the pummeling, yuletide spirit this year.
Check out the video below to hear a preview of his latest foray into metal Christmas music, a reinvention of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” called “Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing.” It opens with a little reminder of his past metal Christmas moments — his takes on “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night,” and more.
The single, which features three different versions of “Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing” is available now on iTunes.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies may not be as metal, but Lee has that coming up to; it hits theaters Dec. 17.
