After nine years, Christina Medina is saying goodbye to Jimmy Kimmel Live! and joining Billboard as vice president of artist relations. “It’s an exciting time at Billboard and I’m thrilled to be joining such an iconic brand,” the former Kimmel music supervisor says. “Leading artists to the spotlight and seeing them shine brings a smile to my face. It’s very special and fulfilling. I’m looking forward to enriching this great company’s legacy.”
Over the last 12 years, the Los Angeles native has worked with top talent in the music realm, including Jay-Z, U2, Metallica, Paul McCartney, Drake, Rihanna, Prince, Garth Brooks, Mana, Andrea Bocelli and Kendrick Lamar. Medina got her start in 2007 as a promotions coordinator at Los Angeles’ Power 106 radio station after graduating from USC. She worked at The Ellen DeGeneres Show before embarking on a nearly decade-long stint as an influential music booker on ABC’s Kimmel. She has also served on the boards of the USC Alumni Association and L.I.M.A. (Latinos in Media & Arts) Coalition.
