Country superstar Kenny Chesney will release his second studio album of the year, “The Road and the Radio,” Nov. 8 via BNA. First single “Who You’d Be Today” jumps 18-13 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart to be published online Thursday (Oct. 6).
Chesney already hit No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in February with “Be As You Are: Songs From an Old Blue Chair,” which has sold 1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
“The Road and the Radio” is expected to feature 11 tracks, including “Tequila Loves Me (Even if You Don’t),” “Another Beer in Mexico,” “Living in Fast Forward” and “You Save Me.”
Although Chesney has yet to announce tour plans in support of the set, a number of television appearances are in the works, including a Nov. 7 performance on “Good Morning America” in New York’s Times Square. ABC is also prepping a Chesney special to air the week of Thanksgiving.
The artist, who recently split from wife Renee Zellweger, will also perform Nov. 15 in New York as part of the Country Music Association Awards.
