As previously reported, Maroon 5 spends a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “One More Night,” fending off PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which remains bulleted at No. 2. Plus, Taylor Swift, Ke$ha and Rihanna storm the top 15 with new tracks. What other songs make moves on the Hot 100 and other singles charts?
— Mumford & Sons: With five debuts joining “I Will Wait” (No. 57), the lead radio single from Babel, the Billboard 200’s new No. 1, Mumford & Sons is the first band to chart as many as six concurrent Hot 100 titles since the Beatles more than 48 years ago. Debuting are the title cut (No. 60), “Lover’s Eyes” (No. 85), “Whispers in the Dark” (No. 86), “Holland Road” (No. 92) and “Ghosts That We Knew” (No. 94).
The band charts its sextet of Hot 100 entries as it posts an unprecedented 12 debuts to the On-Demand Songs chart, the most ever by an act in a week. “Wait” leads the arrivals with 555,000 on-demand streams, according to Nielsen BDS.
No band (as opposed to acts considered groups, as the “Glee” cast has charted a high of nine titles in a week) had logged at least six concurrent Hot 100 hits since the Fab Four the week of Sept. 19, 1964. That frame featured “A Hard Day’s Night” (No. 12), “And I Love Her” (No. 28), “Matchbox” (No. 32), “Slow Down” (No. 43), “If I Fell” (No. 55) and “Ringo’s Theme (This Boy)” (No. 57).

The Beatles boast the most concurrent Hot 100 hits among all acts, with 14 the week of April 11, 1964.
— Enrique Iglesias: “Finally Found You” (featuring Sammy Adams), from Iglesias’ forthcoming 10th studio album, leaps 83-24 on the Hot 100 courtesy of its No. 9 debut on Hot Digital Songs (112,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan). It also rises 40-37 on Hot 100 Airplay (35 million audience impressions, up 9%, according to BDS).
— Alicia Keys: “Girl on Fire” (featuring Nicki Minaj) charges 55-41 on the Hot 100, improving by 46% to 73,000 in digital sales following its placement on the iTunes Store’s homepage. Keys performed the song at the iTunes Music Festival in London on Sept. 28. “Girl” debuted at No. 37 on the Hot 100 three weeks ago.
— Muse: The trio scores its third Alternative No. 1, as “Madness” rises 3-1. (It jumps 79-69 on the Hot 100.) The band previously ruled Alternative in 2009-10 with “Uprising” for 17 weeks — the second-longest reign in the chart’s 24-year history — and “Resistance” (four). “Madness” introduces The 2nd Law, which should debut in the top three on next week’s Billboard 200.
— Pitbull: “Don’t Start the Party” (featuring TJR), the third preview single from Pitbull’s seventh studio album, Global Warming (due Nov. 19), debuts on the Hot 100 at No. 89 and on Hot Digital Songs at No. 46 (34,000). The song already matches the Hot 100 peak of previous single “Get It Started” (featuring Shakira), which stalled at No. 89 in July. First Global Warming single “Back in Time” rose to No. 11 on the Hot 100, bolstered by its promotional push tied to the movie “Men in Black 3.”
