Following her success as a featured artist on Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” U.K. songwriting phenom Charli XCX has a solo hit on her hands with “Boom Clap,” the fizzy single released from “The Fault in Our Stars” soundtrack. Charli has been issuing a steady stream of remixes of “Boom Clap” over the past few weeks, and Billboard has a new one to debut, as well as the full collection of five remixes that you can stream now.

On the current Hot 100 chart, “Boom Clap” reaches a new peak at No. 14, making the single Charli XCX’s biggest hit as a lead artist to date (“Fancy,” which spent seven weeks atop the chart, holds at No. 2 this week). Meanwhile, the “Boom Clap” remixes have been heating up the Internet: the ASTR remix, for instance, has earned 124,000 plays on Soundcloud since being unveiled earlier this month.
“The first time I hung with ASTR was at a club in New York where there was a man on stage who removed his arms,” Charli XCX recalls. “I was tripping out and it was beginning to feel like a ‘Twin Peaks’ experience and it all got kind of weird. A week later they sent me the remix. I liked it.”

The Punk Party remix comes from the California-based duo of Keith Varon and Nick John, who have issued remixes of songs by Tegan and Sara and Atlas Genius, among others. Their take on “Boom Clap” offers a shimmering new version of Charli XCX’s single, with the syllables elongated and rhythms dissected to create a trippy dance cut.
“Boom Clap” will presumably appear on Charli XCX’s sophomore album, due out before the end of 2014. Until then, catch the singer-songwriter on the road at the dates below:
